Ah, I recognized City Hall in Chicago immediately My home city. Mayor Daley was the first in the country to have a “green roof.” It saves a fortune on heating and cooling bills also, as well as cutting pollution and releasing oxygen from the plants into the air.
Wow! Makes me believe in global change and a better future when I see pics like this.
Have you seen the textless picture book Belonging, by Jeannie Baker? It’s like an antidote to her rather more bleak picture of development in Window.
